At Abacist Group, we also strive to make a difference
beyond the business world. We invest 10% of our annual operating profit
to help the poor. We specifically focus on helping fund
needs in places where per capita income is less than $2 per day. Abacist Group
is proud to support the following efforts:"
Q4/11 -- Village of Hope Uganda
http://www.villageofhopeuganda.com/index.php/whats-all-this-about/about-us
To help the helpless in Africa, to bring safety to children who don’t have safety, to provide shelter to
the homeless and food to the hungry. To build villages (communities) of hope for orphans and widows,
where children can live with their siblings in safety. Where they can go to school and learn how to help
themselves and their communities. To provide them with the basics of life: food, shelter, safety,
education, skill training, love and hope.
Village of Hope takes a holistic approach when helping the children and widows of Africa.
Q3/10 – Nothing but Nets

The Measles Initiative, a partnership of the American Red Cross, the U.S. Centers for
Disease Control (CDC), the UN Foundation, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the United Nations
Children's Fund (UNICEF), works with country governments to help organize in-country vaccination programs.
Funds raised through the Nothing But Nets™ campaign are used to purchase and distribute bed nets during
national vaccination campaigns. This year, we are working with UNHCR to provide life-saving nets to more
than one million refugees in 15 countries.
Q3/10 – Pakistan Flood Relief Vast floods have created a critical situation in Pakistan, where the number
of homeless has just doubled to 4 million people. The UN estimates that 20 million people urgently need
food, shelter, and emergency care — that's 10 times as many as were impacted by the earthquake in Haiti.
World Vision has already delivered food and clean water to more than 21,000 people in Charsada and
Nowshera, Pakistan. We have also opened 5 emergency health clinics in Lower Dir, treating more than 2,500
people suffering from waterborne diseases and other illnesses. In the coming months, our goal is to provide
life-saving supplies — water purification packets, hygiene kits, tents, cooking items, and food — to
300,000 people. We also hope to open health posts, Child-Friendly Spaces, and Women-Friendly Spaces, and
offer additional support to children and families.

Q1/10 Wells for Life builds Water Wells to provide safe, clean drinking water. Right now, almost
1.1 billion people don’t have access to one of the most essential necessities for a healthy life – clean
drinking water. One of every eight people lack easy access to water that is suitable for
drinking. This is estimated to result in 4,500 children dying each day – most of them under the age
of 5. $20 can help build a well to provide enough clean water for one person for 20 years.

Q1/10: WorldVision provides Microfinance Loans to help poor families finance Small Businesses. Help
families lift themselves out of poverty. Micro loans help impoverished people start new small
businesses and build better lives for their families and ultimately their communities. When loans are
repaid, new loans are made to other families – so funds are reinvested again and again to help family after
family.
